New Event Makes Fringe More Accessible
New event aims to extend the Fringe Festival to more performers
In a move to open up the Fringe Festival to a more diverse range of performances, this year Another Few Inches of Fringe will provide an opportunity to perform during the Fringe season. The event will be an afternoon of family friendly short performances, from 12pm - 4pm on February 23rd. Another Few Inches will take place at 19 Tory St and will be totally free and open to the public.
This event aims to give artists who might not otherwise perform during the Fringe Festival a chance to try out their skills in front of an audience. It is especially aimed at individual performers or groups with short pieces that might not be long enough for an entire Fringe slot. We also want to provide the public with the opportunity to see more exciting creative work for free. The Fringe Festival is an exciting time to be in Wellington, and we want to give more people a chance to participate!
