Discounted tickets to New Zealand’s premier women’s golfing tournament
Christchurch ratepayers should be on the look out for their next rates demand – especially if they are golfing enthusiasts.
Ratepayers are being offered an exclusive 50 per cent discount pass to the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open in the latest round of rates demands currently being sent out by Christchurch City Council.
The pass must be presented at the gate, along with a rates bill, for discounted tickets to the country’s premier women’s golfing tournament being held at Clearwater Golf Club from 8 – 10 February 2013.
The national championship has attracted all four former winners of the event – Frenchwoman Gwladys Nocera (2009), England’s Laura Davies (2010) and Australians Kristie Smith (2011) and Lindsey Wright (2012). New Zealand’s own Lydia Ko, the World No.1 amateur, will also be competing.
Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker encourages residents to support the event, which is being held locally for the fifth consecutive year.
“Sponsoring both the Men’s and Women’s National Opens in the city makes Christchurch, I believe, the home of tournament golf in New Zealand,” he says.
“The field of competitors is outstanding this year and the Council is pleased locals will have the opportunity to see world-class golfers in action.”
Those who attend will be on course to win a night for two at the Heritage Hotel in Hanmer Springs, full breakfast, massage and entry to the Hanmer Thermal Reserve pools. The drive there will be courtesy of a Hertz rental car and the winner can pop their brand new set of $2,700 Cleveland golf clubs in the boot.
