Rhys Darby to host Bear Grylls Live
Rhys Darby has been announced as the Host of ‘A Wild Night with Bear Grylls, Live on Stage’ Tour that is coming to NZ in
late November, early December.
‘I'm a massive fan of Bear so I jumped at this opportunity like a commando leaping from a tree... with bugs in his gob!”
Rhys is a clearly huge Bear Grylls fan and does not seem to be at all intimidated at being on stage with the Man vs Wild
legend.
“An amazing opportunity has presented itself. Ironically if I had stayed a soldier I probably would never have met Bear
but now years later as a comedian, I get to work with him!”
The audience will be in for some very interesting on stage action between two adventurers with screamingly disparate
survival skills. Bear will no doubt ensure Rhys is put through various sticky situations. But Rhys does not seem to be
too fazed with what he may face on stage – it’s backstage that he has some issues.
“I think any guy is going to be a bit deflated having to take his shirt off next to Bear, so I’ve asked for separate
dressing rooms. I am however pretty worried about the food that will be provided in the green room.’
“A Wild Night with Bear Grylls” is a night of stories of adventure, on- stage action, audience participation and entertainiment!
