A First for Albany – British Songstress & Burlesque Beauties!
Albany, Auckland - August 31, 2012 – The Albany Sports Bar and Restaurant erupts into a night of music, glitter and stiletto’s in what may be a first for the area.
Burlesque has made a comeback! The Speakeasy Club in association with the Rock n Roll Circus is proud to bring you ‘Thrills and Frills’. This show will offer up a delectable night of burlesque dancing from Auckland’s Speakeasy Club and will be supported by the fantastic MC Briggsy of KFM 106.9.
Not only will eyes be mesmerized by the glitter and glam of burlesque, ears will be treated to the cheeky pop sounds of Laura Charms backed by Nomadic Routes. Hailing from the UK and fresh from a tour in Vancouver, these talented musicians will take you on an effortless journey of kooky optimism and fresh sounds.
Laura’s acoustic shows are warm, friendly and involving affairs that effortlessly envelope you into her world. With over 8 years of solo and band experience as a live and recording artist, Laura’s many shows include the trendy Proud Galleries in Camden, live performances on BBC Radio and the End of the Road Festival.
This is a unique opportunity for residents of Auckland to soak in some funky tunes from fine British talent and indulge in a favourite European past time – the art of Burlesque!
