Hollywood Award winning New Zealand singer/songwriter Steve Cooke hits New Zealand shores.
Grammy member and Hollywood Music award winning New Zealand artist Steve Cooke visits New Zealand. It has been a few
years since Steve Cooke last made a mark in New Zealand with his song “Live for the Moment” on NZ radio and in Rugby
stadiums. Steve moved to America 4 years ago to measure himself against the best of the best and he succeeded.
Just within in the first 2 years did he win an award for “Best song” at the Hollywood Music Awards for his song “Working
for the USA”. Then a local label just featured him on an album called “The Paramount Sessions” together with American
Idol and power vocalist Adam Lambert and now he has just released a new track on the world market with his co writing
partner Monte Pittman, who currently tours the world with Madonna.
“Bad Girl” evokes images of London in the swinging 60’s, imagine, The Rolling’s Stones meeting AC/DC, but with a modern
twist!
The single was recorded at Paramount Ameraycan studios in Hollywood, with Steve Ferrone (Tom Petty) on drums and Ric
Fierabraci (Chic Corea, Tom Jones) on bass. Additional guitar is added by Jeff Kollmann (Chad Smith). The track is
produced by Steve Cooke and engineered by 2 times Grammy award winner Alfonso Rodenas.
2012 certainly started off well for Steve with airplay in Germany (album of the week), airplay in the US and a great
concert at the Roxy in Hollywood last week, one of the most famous venues in town.
Steve is currently co writing with several well known musicians like JP Cervioni (who has just released a record with
Steve Vai) and he has a full album written with Monte Pittman (Madonna, Adam lambert) to be released later this year.
