Auckland sculptor Brierley-Millman installed 2 temporary artworks today in
the Wynyard quarter and Silo park by the waterfront. One 4 tonne work is a
solid piece of 300 year old Puriri. The other is 500Kgs of Monterey
cypress.
These works are unique to NZ and give local flavour to the area
and both works are for sale. Over 90% of his works are sold offshore and
he has works in 17 countries worldwide. The artist is best known for being
the first artist from NZ to sell a work for over a million dollars.
The artist said; 'Aotearoa is famous for its beautiful natural landscapes,
so I seek to bring this beauty into our urban environments for the good of
our souls. With this work we are embraced by nature and healed through Art.'

Jenny Lyn Walker, Fashion Designer, wears one of her Sculptural Fashion Art pieces, her Fantail Dress. Inspired by New
Zealand Art, Culture and Nature merged into Fashion, Walker's works celebrate love, life and expression. The Fantail
lands in pride of place on Brierley-Millman's Cypress sculpture in a flash and flicker of glorious original forms.
