Book release timely
Ever struggled to be enthused on a Monday morning?
‘Monday Musings – start your week with soul’ is perfect.
Niki Gunning, Palmerston North author, feels the release of her first book ‘Monday Musings.’ is timely.
“We are surrounded by tragedy and bad news. Christmas is on its way at the end of what has been a tough year for many. ‘Monday Musings’ is an inspirational book that aims to set you off on a positive note every Monday’.
Gunning says the idea came from her weekly newsletter sent out on a Monday morning inspiring her readers to focus on one thing they could change in their lives that week.
‘We are bombarded with information on how to become better. I endeavoured to simplify the information and present it in a way that was usable and pleasurable. It is about setting people up for success in their everyday lives.’
Gunning has achieved this through creating a ‘visual symphony to surround a symphony of words”.
The involvement of Wanganui artist Julie Greig was a perfect solution to the presentation issue. Greig created two original paintings for the book and also completed the layout in preparation for publishing.
“Julie’s input was incredible. It was all perfect as not only is she an incredibly talented artist, she also had a background in publishing. The book is beautiful to look at and the pictures support the words perfectly’.
Gunning had one aim in mind, to create a high quality product that looked as stunning as it read.
“We decided on hard cover and full colour – there was no other way to present it’.
With a RRP of $35 it is a perfect gift for Christmas and can be purchased through selected bookstores as well as through her website.
“We have also created an e-book option and an audio book so it covers everyone”.
Gunning, a mother of 5 is also a Professional Speaker and personal development coach based in Palmerston North.
Monday Musings is a delightful collection of weekly inspirations for Monday mornings – when so many of us are feeling at our least motivated. Collected from her weekly blog of the same name, Niki Gunning offers for every new week of the year, a new insight; an opportunity to start each week with a new way of thinking and viewing – totally refreshing!
