More Success For Ghostly Short
Auckland comic consortium thedownlowconcept took top honours with their hilariously deadpan ghost story "ONLY SON", beating out 650 other short films to be crowned V48HOURS Grand Champions 2010.
V48 Judge and Oscar nominated screenwriter Josh Olson had this to say about "ONLY SON" "great performances, terrific writing and beautiful direction".
The good news keeps coming for the team as their short has just been officially invited to screen at this years Fantastic Fest in Austin (Variety's Ten Fests We Love) amongst studio premieres and the hottest fest flicks from around the globe.
The team are looking at shooting their debut feature summer 2011. Interested distributors/investors can and should get in touch by return email.
They also won a massive prize package including $11,000 cash courtesy of the NZFC and Wingnut Films, Post Production from Park Road Post, $10,000 in Panasonic Varicam hire from Rocket Rentals, 42" Panasonic Plasma, Apple iMac 21.5" Display, 4gb intel dual-core, a weekend of luxury in Queenstown from Jetstar and St Moritz, a year supply of V and more.
