Anika Moa Announces “Love In Motion” Tour
Anika Moa is back with her fourth studio album “Love in Motion” and to celebrate will be taking her band around New Zealand to introduce the new songs to audiences as well as play past treasures.
After 12 years in the music business, numerous APRA silver scroll nominations, a debut double platinum album with ‘Thinking Room’, platinum status with her third album ‘In Swings The Tide’, Moa could be termed a minor veteran. But that would suggest she has lost the confessional nature that has become her signature in the world of pop music. As always - Anika Moa lays bare her soul & casts a tender and cheeky grin across every song and crowd.
Throughout the tour the musicians that helped her record ‘Love In Motion’ will accompany Anika: bass player Chip Matthews (New Loungehead, Opensouls), guitarist Geoff Maddock (Goldenhorse, Bressa Creeting Cake) and drummer Nick Gaffaney (Solaa, Jan Hellriegal).
One of the great things about seeing Anika Moa live is her genuine connection and interest in the audience. A true entertainer Anika Moa is as funny as she is unpredictable unlike her singing prowess, which is guaranteed gorgeous.
“Love in Motion is near faultless. What's really happened here is the evolution of Moa into one of New Zealand's best singer-songwriters of the past 10 years.” ***** Dominion Post
