FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
6th April 2010
The Venus Project World Tour 2010 - New Zealand leg confirmed for April.
The Venus Project NZ is pleased to announce that the world tour by Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows will include New Zealand with two lectures in April.
The Venus Project envisions a global civilization where modern methods of science and technology are applied with both human and environmental concern so as to secure, protect, and encourage a more humane world for all people.
Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows will present possibilities for the redesign or our society offering a way out of our recurring cycles of boom and recession, famine, poverty, our declining environment, and territorial conflicts where peace is merely the interval between wars.
Jacque is a 94 year old industrial designer, author, lecturer, futurist and inventor. He has worked as both a designer and an inventor in a wide range of fields spanning biomedical innovations and integrated social systems.
The lectures present a challenge to all people to work toward a society in which all the world’s resources become the common heritage of all the world’s people. The Venus Project is an organisation offering feasible plans for social change, one that could attain a peaceful and sustainable global civilization. For more info on The Venus Project see the website www.TheVenusProject.com.
Jacque and Roxanne are available to appear on television and radio for interviews and discussion while in New Zealand. The Venus Project World Tour Lectures will be held on 15th April (7pm at Hopetoun Alpha, Auckland) and 17th April (6pm at Massey University, Lecture Block 48 Room 6 Entrance E, Wellington).
