This new years eve Christchurch rock and metal fans will be treated to a night of live music and entertainment, the likes of which have not been witnessed in the garden city for a long, long time. 'NEW YEARS EVIL' hosted by the city's premier live venue The Bedford is set to celebrate the end of a very busy year for five local heavy metal acts and starts the ball rolling for exposure to local music in 2010 in fine style.
Headlining this special end of year event is HUMAN, one of the nations hardest working metal bands. Fast approaching their 18th year of duty in the fine art of creating sonic punishment, HUMAN started 2009 with a nationwide tour followed by a new CD (their third full length effort) entitled "Cadaver Academy." There were also support slots for overseas metal acts Cannibal Corpse and Suffocation, and then finally a second New Zealand tour which was to wrap up one very busy year for the classic quartet. 'NEW YEARS EVIL' will see HUMAN perform a blistering set of their trademark tongue-in-cheek, fast-as-humanly-possible, styled metal.
Also performing on the night will be heavy weights Vixen Execution, Masorah, Amidst Haze and new band to the scene Echolypse.
Tickets $12 + b/f from Cosmic Corner stores in Christchurch (High St and Palms Mall). Door sales $20 on the night. Free BBQ. R18.
