Do you think you can strip?
Playboy TV’s Glenn-Marie will be in New Zealand NEXT WEEK hosting series four of the reality show, “The Tour Girls – ‘Do You Think You Can Strip?’” to be aired on the Playboy Channel early 2010. This glamorous Las Vegas resident enjoys all the trappings of the glitterati with celebrity status and non-stop parties but before the champagne and cotton-tail lifestyle, in her teenage years, some would say her looks were an acquired taste.
She had gaps between her teeth, glasses that made her eyes as wide as a bug, and hair that could not be tamed. Glenn-Marie did not let these trivial imperfections influence her individuality by no means. Before you knew it she was wearing contacts, flat-ironing her hair and after 5 years with braces was an entirely different person.
Now Glenn-Marie is heading Downunder to front the new reality series for internationally renowned Playboy Channel. This is the fourth series of The Tour Girls and this latest incarnation has a definite twist to the story line. Currently casting on the Gold Coast, the shows Producers, Rolling Surf Productions, is literally undressing hundreds of wannabe striptease artists to find a Top 10. Think American Idol meets America’s Next Top Model at this stage with all sorts of ‘try-hards’ and ‘shoulda stayed at homes’ turning out to take it all off to get their fifteen minutes of fame.
After four days of auditions the Top 10 go into lockdown; 29 October until 09 November, in an eight million dollar mansion on the Gold Coast. Here the series takes a leaf out of the Big Brother book with celebrity house invaders and adult industry performers putting the remaining hopefuls through hoops – as well as around poles with more than a dollop of conflict thrown in for good viewing measure!
Having the contestants getting naked and showing how well they can shake what their Momma’s gave them adds so much more to the whole reality genre. After more eliminations the Final Six, plus Playboy TV’s Glenn-Marie, arrive in New Zealand 10 November for the final part of filming.
Beginning at The Fireman’s Arms in Pukekohe, The Tour Girls will travel down through Rotorua and Hastings to Wellington at the end of the first week filming elimination episodes as they go. Week two sees them visiting Tauranga and Hamilton on the way back up for the grand final elimination episode at The Whitehouse strip club in Auckland on 22 November.
The final night will be a huge event that includes the filming of the final episode and choosing the winner of ‘Do you think you can strip?’ Following on from that the Whitehouse’s NZ Angels have thrown down the gold thong and challenged the Oz Tour Girls to a trans-Tasman “strip-off” Zoolander style! This has already been dubbed the Boobisloe Cup and promises to be a match of DD proportions!!
Of course it might seem odd to many people why there is such an attraction to be naked in front of a potential viewing audience of millions. But look where a start in the buff now sees Glenn-Marie. By day she plays Location Manager for a Production Company and by night gets to host a successful reality show in its fourth season for The Playboy Channel.
Tickets to the final night are available exclusively from the Whitehouse Reception and those lucky enough to get them are also invited to the After Party where they can mix with the Tour Girls and meet Playboy TV Host Glenn-Marie. Ticket price also includes first drink on the house - The Whitehouse.
