Recession Proof Wedding Auction
Supports Children’s Charity
With the wedding
season just weeks away, the soon-to-be-married across New
Zealand are frantically busy with dress fittings, celebrant
selecting, menu sampling and guest list culling alongside
hunting for the perfect wedding venue.
The Recession Proof Wedding auction offers brides and grooms-to-be the opportunity to bid on their dream wedding package, held at Peppers Clearwater Resort, while supporting a significant New Zealand charity. With just a $1 reserve, all proceeds raised from the auction will go to the Child Cancer Foundation
Funding & Business Manager Clare Wilkinson says the Child Cancer Foundation is thrilled to be invited as recipients of the auction. “It’s a really fun promotion and the fundraising will go a long way in helping the children and families we’re supporting who are dealing with cancer.”
The Peppers Clearwater Resort Recession Proof Wedding package includes a wedding ceremony for 50 guests, ceremony pre-drinks for guests, a reception held in the private-dining space the Kaikainui Room, a mouth-watering three-course dinner prepared with fresh regional produce and beverages throughout the evening. The bride & groom will experience a complimentary night’s accommodation in an elegant Lakefront Suite including breakfast and a bottle of bubbles.
Peppers Clearwater Resort General Manager Ken Harris says he is delighted to be involved in such a charitable event. “This is a brilliant opportunity for one lucky couple to support a cause close to the hearts of many New Zealander’s, to have the pressure removed from their wedding planning and to be married in a truly breathtaking setting.”
Classic Hits Christchurch 97.7FM listeners will also have the chance to contribute to the bride & groom’s special day. A two week long promotion running on the Classic Hits Big Breakfast with Jason Gunn, Dave Fitzgerald and Bridget De Goldi allows listeners to ‘guess the wedding gift’. Winning listeners will gift a wedding present to the newlyweds and receive a replica for themselves.
The
Recession Proof Wedding will be listed on TradeMe from 6am
Monday 17th August 2009.
