VAMPIRES, WEREWOLVES AND FRAGGLES!
Simon Darby

Open daily 10.00am - 6.00pm.

I graduated from Massey University with a Bachelor of Design in 2006, and have since worked as a texture painter and as an illustrator. This is my first solo exhibition, which showcases fantasy creatures and environments. My paintings have been influenced by television, films, and fantasy art - in particular artists Frank Frazetta and Jim Henson.

EXHIBITION & SALE OF ARTWORKS
Bette Armstrong & Bea Arthur

Bette Armstrong and Bea Arthur were partners for over 57 years and icons for many Wellington lesbians. The Armstrong and Arthur Charitable Trust was set up by the late Bea Arthur to support lesbian community activities in the Wellington region.

During their lives Bette and Bea never went overseas but they spent many holidays travelling around this country and painting the beautiful scenery they encountered. They were also members of the Wellington Art Club. There are over 300 paintings that have been held in storage since their deaths. The paintings will be sold and the money will be added to the Trust funds. Photographs on display will provide glimpses into Bette and Bea’s lives as will a DVD of memories that will accompany the exhibition.
