The Arts Channel Is Proud To Announce New Zealand Premiere Of Music Talk Show ‘Rick Wakeman: Face To Face’
Premiering on Sunday 19 April 8.30pm, ‘Rick Wakeman: Face To Face’ is a weekly music talk show hosted by rock legend Rick Wakeman. Putting a face to the name of some of the worlds most legendary musicians, each episode profiles the careers and reveals some of the most interesting, candid and in-depth interviews ever to grace our screens.
Featuring a stellar line-up of guests, including Brian May (Queen), Rob Halford & Glenn Tipton (Judas Priest), Jon Lord (Deep Purple & Whitesnake), Justin Hawkins (The Darkness & Hot Leg), Neil Innes (The Rutles, Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band), Jeff Wayne (War Of The Worlds),Phil Manzanera (Roxy Music), Andy Fairweather-Low (Eric Clapton’s Band & Amen Corner), Brian Bennett & Bruce Welch (The Shadows), Roger Chapman (Family), Snowy White (Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd), Dave Cousins (The Strawbs), Chris Barber (Jazz & Blues Legend), Colin Blunstone & Rod Argent(The Zombies), Steve Harley (Cockney Rebel), Whispering Bob Harris (Old Grey Whistle Test), Hugh Cornwell (The Stranglers), Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Scott Gorham (Thin Lizzy), Marilyn McCoo & Billy Davis Jnr (The 5th Dimension); 'Rick Wakeman: Face To Face' presents an insight into the minds of the musicians.
Host Rick Wakeman is a rock legend, composer, and raconteur. He is best known as the cape-wearing keyboard wizard and creative genius of the rock supergroup YES; for his string of multi-million selling hit solo albums; and his celebrated collaborations in the 60s and 70s with the likes of David Bowie, Cat Stevens, T. Rex, Elton John, Lou Reed, and Black Sabbath.
