Rock the Park is back for ‘09 thanks to The Rock and ‘V’ Energy Drink and boasting an epic Kiwi line-up. And what better way to take your mind off the recession than to head along to the best free concert of the year!
Taking the stage at Rock the Park 2009 is NZ legend and former front man of The Exponents, Jordan Luck. With eighteen Top 40 singles under his belt and a new album in the pipelines, The Jordan Luck Band will rock the socks off the crowd at Auckland’s Three Kings Reserve on Saturday 21 February, from 2pm-6pm.
Luck will be joined by fellow Kiwi legends, Pluto. It’s hard to believe it was nine years ago when this 5-piece band first burst onto the scene with the quirky pop/rock ditty 'Hey Little'. Now with three critically acclaimed albums behind them and a reputation for a banging live show, this is one band not to be missed.
Along with The Jordan Luck Band and Pluto, Autozamm will also be amping the crowd at this year’s Rock The Park. Touted as one of NZ’s best live acts, they’ll no doubt provide a fantastic show as they prepare to head abroad for the infamous South By South West Festival in Austin, Texas in March.
Midnight Youth are getting pretty familiar with the limelight after ranking Number 1 on the Myspace 2008 Unsigned Artist chart. The boys are currently gearing up for a USA tour which includes a showcase at the South By South West festival but have made time in their schedule to have a jam at this year’s Rock the Park. We’ll be cranking up the sounds for their chart-topping single, “The Letter”.
Believe it or not, these top acts aren’t the only things to keep you amused at Rock The Park. The ‘V’ Monster Truck will be in attendance, as well as a ‘V’ VIP area where People’s Republic of V members can chill out on beanbags, play the new ‘V’ Tricked Out online car game and of course enjoy an ice-cold V!
Don’t miss one of the greatest free summer music events, brought to you by The Rock and V Energy Drink.
