Big Day Out Updates Ticket Outlet News
If you are sitting at a computer reading this, you only have until the last day of 2008 to use that computer to purchase a ticket for the Auckland Big Day Out from www.bigdayout.com
Tickets to the Big Day Out do however remain on sale from other official outlets right up until the point the 16 January event sells out.
Online and telephone sales will still be available from Ticketmaster and tickets can be bought in person from Ticketmaster outlets and music stores including Real Groovy stores in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington, plus selected stores in the CD and DVD Store chain as listed below.
"Our ticket outlets are well-stocked as the week of Christmas is traditionally the biggest sales week for the Big Day Out," said promoter Campbell Smith. "The show won't sell out until sometime in the new year."
"The bigdayout.com website is powered by a hamster on a wheel," continued Smith with an air of distraction. "His employment contract stated that he was entitled to annual leave after New Year, something we overlooked in the organisation of the event. From that point on, the Big Day Out web hamster can be found sunning himself on the beach at Whanga but we trust that fans will easily find tickets at our other outlets."
