Doctors bare all so kiwi kids can cover up
MedRecruit has just launched a calendar called 'Men of MedRecruit' where 12 of their doctors have stripped off and posed NUDE (with certain bits appropriately covered) all in the name of charity.
Calendars cost $27 each and 100 per cent of the proceeds go to the charity KidsCan. Each calendar sold will ensure an underprivileged kiwi kid gets their own pair of shoes and a raincoat.
“Less privileged kiddies treat their raincoats like gold. One girl who hasn’t got much – that’s her treasure. She hasn’t gone a day without wearing it. It has done something for her.”

“I like my jacket because it keeps me warm on rainy days and it protects me.”

Every ‘Man of MedRecruit’ was in charge of his own month. This meant the doctors had to source a photographer and be the creative director for the shoot, not to mention baring all and modelling!
The brief to doctors was simple; no clothes, creative, no bits showing!
Each one has done an outstanding job and everyone who buys a calendar can be sure they will be entertained throughout the year with the variety of shots provided.
To order a calendar people can either go to the MedRecruit website www.medrecruit.com and click on the ‘Men of MedRecruit’ link where they’ll find ordering instructions or freephone 0800 MEDRECRUIT and MedRecruit will ‘look after you’. There is a special deal where if you buy two calendars, you’ll get a third for free, paid for by MedRecruit.
MedRecruit is a New Zealand based medical recruitment agency specialising in placing predominantly junior doctors in hospitals around New Zealand and Australia.
MedRecruit has been running for two years and is fast becoming the most popular medical recruitment agency in New Zealand.
30 year old owner/managing director, Dr Sam Hazledine, was recently a finalist in the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2008. He is passionate about improving the lives of all doctors in New Zealand and Australia by providing the best service and resources to doctors and hospitals.
Improving the lives of underprivileged children is another passion of Dr Hazledine's, and the ‘Men of MedRecruit’ calendar is his first foray into promoting and fundraising for such a worthy cause.
Dr Hazledine says: “To have this opportunity to give back in a fun way is fantastic. Assisting underprivileged children is something I think is extremely important because these children lack the choices and opportunities that many of us take for granted. The fact that these are kiwi kids we are helping is doubly great!
"These doctors have shed their clothes so underprivileged children can be clothed! It’s a brilliant way to draw attention to the cause so we can level the playing field for a few children."
