Following the successful Desiree Dolron exhibition http://www.suite.co.nz/exhibitions/pataka_-_te_de_todos_mis_suenos,
Suite is pleased to be lending several works by Dutch photographer Anoek Steketee to Pataka Museum of Arts & Cultures, Norrie Street, Porirua, http://www.pataka.org.nz.
The works on show are from Steketee's Frontstage (2002-2003) series.
Steketee trained at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague and spent a year doing post-graduate master studies at the Academie Sint Joost in Breda.
She has exhibited her work at Noorderlicht in Groningen, in Berlin, Amsterdam, Barcelona and in Prague.
This is the first public show of Steketee's works in the Southern Hemisphere and follows an exhibition of her works at Suite in May 2008 http://www.suite.co.nz/exhibitions/frontstage.
Steketee's photographs strive to reveal the everyday lives of Iranian people.
Photos from the Frontstage series feature in the collections of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rabobank, and Delta Lloyd.
