Plastician is undoubtedly one of the UK's true underground bass renegades.
In this game since day dot, he has honed is terrifying skills at the decks since age 16, starting out on London pirate stations 2G FM and Delight FM before hitting the home of dubstep and grime, Rinse Fm in 2004.
Well ahead of the game, Plastician quickly hit the buttons, and went about carving his own sound, merging his love of dark garage, grime and dubstep into some of the scene's most diverse upfront bass bombs.
PLASTICIAN quickly found himself on the release sheets for practically every label worth caring about, from seminal grime and proto dubstep imprints Contagious, Soulja and Road, to Aphex Twin's Rephlex label along Planet Mu, Soul Jazz, Dump Valve and many more.
Not content, aged 20, Plastician started his own imprint, Terrorhythm Recordings and established his name as key producer on the grime and dubstep scene working with MC's Skepta and JME, producing two full length albums in the process that showcased his deft ability to produce the rawest, deep dark underground beats on road.
People from outside the dubstep, grime axis also took note, with Plastician doing a host of remix work, including re-rubs of MIA's Uraqt track for XL Recordings, Alter Ego's "Rocker", The Black Ghosts "Some Way Through THis" and most recently Kosheen's "Guilty".
It would be easy to dismiss this man's ability at the decks as a mere sideline to his production talents.
Fortunately Plastician's reputation on the one and twos is without compare. He currently holds down residencies at FWD, DMZ and Fabric in London and has toured all over Europe, Japan and the US. Testament to his abilities, Plastician was recently chosen to mix the massive Rinse Volume 6 compilation.
Unique to all other dubstep DJs, Plastician rifles of his machine gun mixing with aid of NZ's own Serato's scratch live, allowing the man to carry an arsenal of exclusive material. Strap yourself in, this one promises to be mental!
