Trackside extends coverage of Christchurch Casino New Zealand Cup
Trackside Television will be extending its coverage of the New Zealand Galloping Cup to Sky Sports 1 and TV3 this weekend.
New Zealand Racing Board Head of Broadcasting Glen Broomhall says a two-hour live presentation will air on Sky Sport 1 on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm, with TV3 joining the action for 30-minutes from 4pm.
“This coverage will feature the build-up and all the aftermath from the big race. Sky Sport will stay with us for the $1 million 2000 Guineas as well, in what is a huge afternoon for New Zealand Racing,” Mr Broomhall says.
The $250,000 NZ Cup is a celebrated race over 3200m in New Zealand. The gates crash open at 4.22pm, with the 2000 Guineas following at 5.42pm.
The presentation team for the day will include Jason Tan, Greg O’Connor and Brendan Popplewell.  Full coverage of the race meeting will also air on Trackside, along with other domestic and international race meetings, and on Radio Trackside.
Trackside Television is owned by the New Zealand Racing Board, which also owns the TAB and Radio Trackside.
