WELLINGTON, Thursday 23rd October 2008 – MySpace and Visa Entertainment are pleased to announce that Fur Patrol will be
playing a MySpace Secret Show on the 4th November in Christchurch, the first Secret Show for MySpace in the South
Island.
The band have just released their third album Local Kid, and are about to embark on a nationwide mini tour including the
Southern Amp festival. The MySpace Secret Show will allow Christchurch fans to see them in a small and intimate setting
for FREE. Joining the band on the night will be local Christchurch band Tiny Paper Daggers, who Fur Patrol found on
MySpace and asked to support them. Fans will be able to hear first-hand the songs from Fur Patrol’s new album Local Kid
and receive exclusive screen printed posters to commemorate the event at the show.
Fur Patrol’s 12 year career has seen the band release three albums, three EP’s, a number one hit single with the song
‘Lydia’ and a Tui at the 2001 New Zealand Music Award for ‘Best Female Vocalist’.
MySpace Secret Shows, presented by Visa Entertainment, are exclusive, FREE concerts held throughout New Zealand
featuring some of the biggest Kiwi artists. The only way MySpace users can find out specific details about this and
future concerts is by adding Secret Shows as a ‘friend’ to their profile via www.myspace.com/secretshowsnz . This will
guarantee they are the first to find out details as they are made available. When all is revealed, entry to the show is
on a first-come-first-served basis.
