Trackside launches new breeding show – Born to Run
Trackside Television has launched a new weekly thoroughbred breeding show – Born to Run.
New Zealand Racing Board Head of Broadcasting Glen Broomhall said the new programme airs on Saturday mornings at 7.30am and is sponsored by New Zealand Bloodstock.
“We are delighted that New Zealand Bloodstock, an integral player in the New Zealand breeding industry, has come on board as the major sponsor for the programme,” he said.
The initial series of 10 programmes will feature all things equine from key players and preparing a foal for sale to healthcare issues.
“Our aim was to develop a programme that was relevant to breeding enthusiasts,” Mr Broomhall said.
The 30-minute programme is hosted by Aidan Rodley, a respected racing journalist and regular Trackside presenter. It features interesting and in-depth stories as well as a weekly horse profile and a regular animal health segment with a leading vet.
The programme’s format and focus was devised after receiving feedback during a survey of Trackside viewers and breeding industry participants, Mr Broomhall said.
Born to Run airs every Saturday morning at 7.30am on Trackside Television and is also repeated at other times during the week. For latest schedule information visit www.trackside.co.nz
Trackside Television (Channel 35 on SKY Digital) is owned by the New Zealand Racing Board, which also owns the TAB and Radio Trackside.
