Ladies and Gentlemen - Mystery Girl Announces Spiritualized
Spiritualized have been invited by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds to play the first ever All Tomorrows Parties festival in Australia . While they were down here they thought they'd make their very first trip to New Zealand. Finally, after six albums, New Zealand will have the chance to have their minds blown by England’s pioneering sonic transcendentalists. And just to make sure this is a real once in a lifetime space rock experience, main-man J Spaceman will be bringing a seven piece band to boot.
Mystery Girl, 95bFM, Cheese on Toast and Grooveguide Present;
Spiritualized
Tuesday 13th of January 2009 – The Powerstation - Auckland
Tickets from Ticketmaster from 14th October 2008: $79 + booking fee
Spiritualized live by their own methods. Although a 'group' the line-up is the whim of leader/songwriter Jason Pierce. The band's name is like a mantra: a spiritualisation or 'rock' through hypnotic structures. Pierce - like Nick Cave - goes to dark places and make them most beautiful. This finds a delicate balance between minimalist rock and orchestral adornment.
