Gilchrist Returns For Blockbuster Emirates All*Star Twenty20™ Match
Cricket Australia and the Australian Cricketers’ Association (ACA) have announced the return of some of Australia’s cricket greats with the introduction of the Emirates All*Star Twenty20™ match in Brisbane on Friday November 14, prior to the first 3 mobile Test between New Zealand and Australia.
Adam Gilchrist, along with other recently retired icon players, will play as part of the ACA Johnnie Walker All*Stars, a team selected by their peers at the end of last season. They will be up against a full strength KFC Australian XI.
The teams, including additional icon players, will be announced by both Cricket Australia and the Australia Cricketer’s Association (ACA) in the coming weeks.
The Emirates All*Star Twenty20 match™ will showcase the best Twenty20™ cricketers in Australia in a season opening blockbuster under lights to kick start a massive week in sport in Brisbane with the 3 mobile Test match against New Zealand to start the following Thursday.
The match will be televised on Channel Nine live around Australia, and fans can expect all the colour and excitement of a KFC Twenty20 International match.

The Emirates All*Star Twenty20™ match will form part of Brisbane’s Emirates All*Star Weekend featuring a Cricket Fan Day and an exclusive player and partners party hosted by Johnnie Walker and Cricket Australia.
The free Cricket Fan Day at Allan Border Field will feature an array of cricket excitement for all ages including a Twenty20™ match between the Johnnie Walker ACA Masters and an All*Star Indigenous XI, a MILO in2CRICKET superclinic, appearances from past and present Australian players, MILO KidZone, a range of great cricket activities amongst other roving entertainment.
The Johnnie Walker All*Star Party is an exclusive, invitation-only event for the Australian cricketers, their partners and celebrities at the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane featuring all the glitz and glamour from the red carpet.
