NZRL PROVINCIAL PREMIERSHIP (UNDER 18’S) – Sunday October 26 at 2.00 PM
Canterbury take on Auckland in this match for the NZRL Provincial Premiership played at Rugby League Park in Christchurch. The best young talent in the motu get to show off their talent and determination.
TE HIKOI MAHANGA – Sunday October 26 at 4.30 PM
Series premiere! The dynamic duo of identical twins Te Kauhoe and Whare Wano are back for another surfing series – checking out the hotspots around Aotearoa and Australia. The boys score some classic waves as well as having many other adventures including: car racing in Kaikohe, collecting kaimoana with Shane Jones MP, paddling a waka taua in Paihia and sand surfing in the Hokianga. The twins also introduce some up-for-it celebrities to surfing. Among them are Outrageous Fortune actor Tammy Davis as he tackles the wild waves at Piha, and Tiki Taane, who works out that he’s not just on the show to sing. Katie Wolfe and Tim Balme also end up with more than they bargained for. In this episode: In the far north, surfing mayor Wayne Brown puts the boys through their paces.

After an eight-year absence, the Rugby League World Cup returns this year in Australia. Comprising of 10 teams divided into three pools, organisers are hoping to avoid a repeat of the one-sided contests which marred the 2000 tournament. Australia will be red-hot favourites to win their 10th World Cup, but England and New Zealand will also fancy their chances.
NGATI NRL – Monday October 27 at 9.00 PM:
Season premiere! Ngati NRL is back for another rollercoaster season of tries, tension and tears. Many of our Maori and Pacific Island boys have moved away from home to chase the dream of NRL glory. This show is the viewers’ season pass to all their highs and lows – and closer to the plays than a touch judge.

Maori Television continues its pre-election coverage with our one-hour political programmes that will include tailored research on Maori voters. Co-hosted by NATIVE AFFAIRS presenter Julian Wilcox and TE KAEA political reporter Tina Wickliffe, the Maori electorate of Te Tai Tokerau is covered on Tuesday and Te Tai Tonga on Wednesday.
