A record was set for New Zealand's largest ever toast to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Montana World of WearableArt(tm) Awards (WOW®) which opens today.
430 of Kiwis gathered in Civic Square in Wellington to raise a glass of Montana Reserve Brut Cuvée to the Montana WOW® Awards Show, a world-class event on New Zealand's creative calendar.
Montana WOW® Awards Artistic Director Suzie Moncrieff says she was delighted the occasion was marked with such fanfare
"What a great way to celebrate 20 extraordinary shows, with something never before attempted in New Zealand. This innovative spirit is the essence of the Montana WOW® Awards Show, as every year the show breaks new ground."
Montana Sponsorship Manager Glen Candy agrees this anniversary is momentous.
"It seems only fitting that there is a record breaking moment to launch the 20th show, we thought this would be a great way to show our support for this achievement by bestowing the honour of a great national toast."
The annual non-stop spectacular Montana WOW® Awards Show begins Thursday 25 September 2008 at the TSB Bank Arena in Wellington.
