Swing Away The Winter Blues with Kettlebell Training
Kettlebell training is fast becoming the trendy workout of choice for athletes, gym junkies and middle aged trainers wanting to maximise fitness training in a minimal amount of time. Until recently you had to learn how to use a kettlebell through trial and error or by watching dodgy YouTube video's. Now you can learn how to swing and snatch a kettlebell correctly from Qualified Kettlebell instructors at Beginner Kettlebell Workshops in New Zealand- details at http://www.kettlebellsnz.com/workshop
If you are still unsure what a kettlebell actually is, it can best be described as an old style strength and fitness tool that resembles a bowling ball with a thick handle. Kettlebells were previously used by turn of the century strongmen and more recently Russian athlete's and the Russian Army. However, since US based strength coach Pavel Tsatsouline reintroduced kettlebells to the West in the early 1990's, they have taken off in popularity and are now the fitness tool of choice for fighters, athletes, Hollywood celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Sylvester Stallone and ordinary people wanting a fast effective workout.
There are an endless number of kettlebell workouts you can do, but basically kettlebell training consists of performing either high repetition quick movements like the Kettlebell Swing or Kettlebell Snatch or low rep strength movements called "Grinds". Kettlebell training has become so popular because the emphasis on functional whole body training delivers outstanding fitness and fat loss results in a surprisingly short amount of time. "But be warned, kettlebells are not for those trainers wanting the easy late night TV infomercial option" explains Kettlebells NZ owner Mike Capper. And Mike should know, as he is one of only five qualified Russian Kettlebell Certified (RKC) instructors in New Zealand, having travelled to Minnesota USA for the three day intensive Kettlebell instructor course that has a 25% - 35% failure rate. Mike has teamed up with fellow RKC qualified instructor Paul White and together they are spreading the kettlebell gospel through Kettlebell workshops. However the September 20th workshop is the last workshop for the year, so if you are keen to check out this fun and highly effective form of training or even want to purchase some kettlebells then go to http://www.kettlebellsnz.com for more details.
