The Six Pack Three at Number #1 for a third year
The Six Pack Three, New Zealand Book Month’s flagship title which saw six authors whittled from hundreds of entrants in this year’s competition, has once again hit the #1 spot.
Nielsen Book Data, the foremost authority on New Zealand book sales, has shown the The Six Pack Three, has like the two Six Packs from previous years, topped the NZ Fiction chart in the week ending September 6th, and ranks #6 overall in the NZ International Top 10, which takes into account all best sellers.
“[It] is pretty impressive.” Anna Hart from The Nielsen Company remarks. “There are six New Zealand books in the top ten this week which is great. Usually only a few New Zealand books nudge out international blockbusters.”
This year’s Six Pack Three features short stories from: Kate Duignan, David Geary, Aroha Harris, Ian Mackenzie, Marisa Maepu and Sue Wootton, all of whom were chosen anonymously by this year’s judging panel and the New Zealand public.
The Six Pack Three, and the two previous Six Packs can be picked up at all good bookstores nationwide and costs merely $6. Festivities throughout this September NZ Book Month can be found at www.nzbookmonth.co.nz
