Radio New Zealand Extends Website Services Introducing a Fully Searchable Audio Archive
Radio New Zealand has announced a further expansion to its popular internet service with the introduction of a fully
searchable archive for many high profile Radio New Zealand National programmes.
Top rating news and current affairs programmes Morning Report, Nine to Noon, and Saturday Morning with Kim Hill, now have an extended and fully searchable archive, making past interviews, discussions and programme content available
to download or listen again via the website www.radionz.co.nz.
Archived content for these programmes, previously only available up to seven days for daily programmes and one month for
weekly shows, will now be available back to January 2008.
Other Radio New Zealand programmes to extend their existing archive are Sunday Morning with Chris Laidlaw, MediaWatch, Insight, Our Changing World, The Arts on Sunday and This Way Up.
Commenting on the extension to audio on demand services, Radio New Zealand Chief Executive, Peter Cavanagh, said
continued exponential growth of web listening reflected the value of the Radio New Zealand web site for audiences around
the world.
“ Radio New Zealand, as a global broadcaster, is providing an essential service for both local and international
audiences, and is an important link back home for New Zealanders living all over the world.
We take our role as New Zealand’s only independent and commercial free public service broadcaster very seriously, and
will continue to make our quality programming available to listeners wherever, whenever and however they want to receive
it. “
