Survey Finds Pick Up Lines Fall Flat With Kiwis
When it comes to hooking up, New Zealanders are notoriously bad with how they go about it. In a recent survey[1] undertaken by Colgate Max White toothpaste, 70% of New Zealanders say that pick up lines fall flat and never work on them. And with examples like “You’re on my list of things to do tonight” and “Well here I am, what are your other two wishes?” it’s no wonder why!
The survey of 335 Kiwis aged 16-24 found that only 32% of females had ever fallen for a pick up line, while 72% of males reckon they have never been pulled by a smooth talker.
So if pick up lines aren’t the way to a Kiwi’s heart, then what is? Well teeth for starters: 72% of respondents rated a person’s teeth as crucial or important to a person’s sexual attractiveness. Colgate Max White found that a sparkling smile (32%), twinkling eyes (22%) and a winning personality (21%) were the things most Kiwis were looking for when spotting a potential hook up.
According to the survey of young New Zealanders, the most important aspect of a sexy smile was having clean teeth. Other factors that influenced a winning grin were having straight, white teeth – and having all your teeth still in your mouth!
The survey also found that the French kiss is the kiss of choice for Kiwis with 50% of respondents voting it their favourite style. For full survey results visit the Pick up with Colgate Max White page on Facebook.
To get your own spectacular smile head to your local supermarket and pick up a pack of Colgate Max White Toothpaste.
