Memorabilia Buys Memories
Sit on the bench with the Breakers, be the proud owner of a signed ’96 All Black shirt, play Xbox with Luke Smith or go
back-stage with The Crowd Goes Wild are just some of the memorabilia and experiences that are being auctioned on Trade
Me from July 30th.
Make-A-Wish® New Zealand has searched the country top to bottom for sporting memorabilia and experiences to auction on
Trade Me. That search has now finished and there are over 30 items that can be bid for on Trade Me.
The money raised from the auction will go towards making the dreams of children with life-threatening illnesses come
true. Gilli Sinclair of Make-A-Wish® New Zealand says “the generosity of New Zealanders has been over whelming. Some of
the items we have up for auction are priceless. We are hoping this generosity will continue when bids are made on each
of the items.”
Some other items available are a Cristiano Ronaldo signed Manchester United football shirt, a netball signed by Irene
Van Dyk and a 2007 Australian Wallabies signed rugby ball. For a full list of auction items and to bid please visit

Last year over 160 children with life-threatening illnesses had their wishes granted by Make-A-Wish® New Zealand, this
year the foundation hopes to increase this number. Make-A-Wish® was launched in New Zealand in 1987 and since then has
been moving from strength to strength. The charitable trust grants wishes to children between the ages of 3 and 17 with
life-threatening illnesses.
