DESTINY CHURCHES NEW ZEALAND
Destiny's Ex Men: Solution To Gangs And Crime
6pm Sunday 29th June 2008
Destiny Church Auckland
18 Allright Place, Mt Wellington
26 June 2008. Destiny Church Auckland will be holding a major event this Sunday
featuring former gang members who have walked away from gangs, drugs, alcohol
and crime to live successful and rewarding lives.
Pastor Caine Warren says the event will feature former members of South Auckland’s Mongrel Mob, Black Power and King Cobra gangs whose lives have been transformed through their Christian faith and their involvement in the life of Destiny Church.
“With the escalation of drug and alcohol abuse and violent crime in South Auckland we are responding with real life examples of men who have broken free from additions and anti-social behaviour to do very well for themselves and their families.
We would encourage anybody out there who is involved in drug and alcohol abuse
or perhaps, violence in their home or community, to come along and see for themselves that there is hope and a better way,” says Pastor Caine Warren.
The event will also feature a live performance from the 2008 NZ Pacific Urban Winners CYDEL and a message from the Senior Minister of Destiny Churches, Bishop Brian Tamaki.
“Our haka team opened last Saturday’s rally against crime in Manukau City.
Some of those chaps used to be societies worst nightmare. Now they’re standing upfor their families, their children and our communities.
Come and find out what turned their lives, and the lives of many others around,” he added.
