88 NZ artists create single artwork to raise awareness for mental health
88 artists from the NZ Art Guild have come together to create a stunning one of a kind artwork in support of Mental Health.
This amazing artwork is aptly called ”Reach Out” and will be revealed to the public during the opening night of the NZ Art Guild’s Annual Exhibition on 1st July from 6.30pm at the Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna. “Reach Out” will be on display for the duration of the exhibition from 1-30th July and will be auctioned off on Trade Me starting 19th July.
The NZ Art Guild is proud to be working with the Mental Health Foundation of NZto enable individuals, whanau, organisations and communities to improve and sustain their mental health and to realise their full potential. To further support this, the NZ Art Guild are donating 20% of the proceeds from the sale of “Reach Out” to the Mental Health Foundation.
This awe-inspiring artwork has been compiled of 90 individual wood panels by 88 NZ artists from around New Zealand. These have been combined together on a large wooden frame resulting in a uniquely original single artwork with an underlying image. Inspired by the phrase “On Your Mind”, each artwork is a slice of imagination from the minds of the artists.
The NZ Art Guild’s 3rd Annual Exhibition “Make it Memorable” will showcase artworks from 63 artists. Diversification is the key to this exhibition, with artworks varying in genre, style, medium and price.
