Hoodies on Parliament - politicians challenge youth stereotypes
Members of Parliament will show their support for youth by wearing a hoodie Thursday 29 May at 1:30 pm on parliament steps.
Organisers ask the public to join in and wear a hoodie on Hoodie Day ­ Friday 30 May.
Hoodie-wearers include National MP Nicky Wagner, Green Party MPs Sue Bradford, Nandor Tanczos and Metiria Turei, and Maori party MP Hone Harawira.
The Minister of Youth Affairs Hon Nanaia Mahuta will be showing her support by wearing a hoodie on Hoodie Day.
Politicians will be joined by young people and together they will be putting their hands up and saying: "It's what's under the hood that counts."
