one of this country’s most prominent writers, Patricia Grace speaks on her love of writing, and the challenges involved
in transforming her novel ‘Cousins’ into a feature screenplay.

Matariki – the Maori New Year – is celebrated with a glorious festival of arts and culture. Some of the finest creative

specials. Includes performances by the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Anna Coddington and Little Bushman.
PACIFIC NATIONS CUP – FIJI V SAMOA – Saturday June 14 at 2.00 PM
Delayed free-to-air coverage of the Pacific Nations Cup 2008, kicking off in June. The Pacific Nations Cup is an
IRB-sanctioned rugby competition between six Pacific Rim sides - Australia A, Fiji, Japan, Samoa, Tonga and for the
first time NZ Maori. The tournament is an action-packed round robin of fifteen games, played in all the participant
countries, and featuring some of rugby’s finest talent.
PACIFIC NATIONS CUP – FIJI V NZ MAORI – Saturday June 14 at 9.00 PM
Delayed free-to-air coverage of the Pacific Nations Cup 2008. NZ Maori will play in the cup for the first time this
year, replacing the Junior All Blacks, who won the tournament in its first two years. The pressure is on the boys to
make a good showing against the Fijians, who made it to the quarter finals in the Rugby World Cup last year.
THE NEW MIGRATION – Sunday June 15 at 8.00 PM
Six individual stories of Maori who pack up their lives in the city and move back with their families to their tribal
roots. Tonight: Che Wilson and wife Missy return from their lives in London for a holiday with the whanau. When they
realise the young ones are growing up without them they make the decision to move back, and set up a business in the
Waikato.
IRON LADIES (SUNDAY FEATURE) – Sunday June 15 at 9.00 PM
Based on a true story. The journey of a male Thai volleyball team composed mostly of transsexuals, transvestites and gay
men as they compete in a national championship.
