is coming to NEW ZEALAND!
Following massively successful US, European and Asian tours, Nick Jr’s Dora the Explorer is setting sail for the New
Zealand with her brand new LIVE musical show, Dora the Explorer Live! Dora’s Pirate Adventure!
Dora’s Pirate Adventure will be docking in Auckland for the July school holidays and will be sailing to locations
throughout New Zealand including Hamilton, Christchurch, Napier, New Plymouth and Wellington.

Join in with Dora, her cousin Diego, Boots the Monkey, and the rest of their friends as they embark on an exciting trip
to Treasure Island, where they will navigate the seven seas, overcome a few fun obstacles and confront the Pirate
Piggies. Along the way, you will be able to use your map-reading, counting, music and Spanish-language skills to
successfully help Dora find the treasure and end her adventure with a happy “yo-ho-ho!”
Dora the Explorer is a seven-year-old Latina heroine whose adventures take place in an imaginative, tropical world
filled with jungles, beaches and rainforests. Dora explores her world just as pre-schoolers do everyday. Both the TV and
stage shows are designed to engage pre-schoolers to explore, communicate, solve puzzles and discover a diverse and
exciting world, while having fun of course!
Each step of their journey consists of a problem or a puzzle that Dora and the audience must solve in order to move on
to the next challenge. Dora is proudly bilingual and uses her knowledge of English and Spanish to communicate with her
friends, overcome obstacles and reach her goals. Dora teaches Spanish words or phrases to the audience and then
encourages them to use their new words to help her complete her mission.
Dora the Explorer is consistently a top three ratings show on Nickelodeon’s award-winning pre-school segment Nick Jr.
Dora fans and even those new to Dora are sure to enjoy this spectacular and unprecedented family show that will ignite
kids to think and play along.
