Executive Producer Announced for Nine to Noon

Radio New Zealand has appointed an experienced award winning journalist and media adviser as Executive Producer for the high profile Nine to Noon current affairs programme on Radio New Zealand National.
Allen Walley’s career spans almost thirty years with experience in print and radio journalism and as a media manager. His previous roles with Radio New Zealand include twelve years as Executive Producer with News programmes Morning Report and Midday Report between 1987 and 1999. He is a former Press Secretary and Parliamentary Media Adviser and is currently Senior Media Adviser for the Department of Internal Affairs.
Commenting on the announcement, Nine to Noon presenter, Kathryn Ryan, said she was delighted that Radio New Zealand had been able to appoint a producer of such high calibre and experience for such a pivotal role in the Nine to Noon team.
Allen Walley joins Nine to Noon as Executive Producer from Monday 19th May and will be based in Wellington. His appointment follows the sudden death of former Nine to Noon Executive Producer, Lisa Palmer, in February this year.
