Pity the Fool
Don't miss out, don't be a fool - missing the last 3 comedy shows at BATS is the last thing you wanna do! That and making really lame rhymes...
Opening on Tuesday night at 8pm is Funk Rabbit, giving us fresh comedy with an old school funk. International improv comedy duo Funk Rabbit hail from Canada. They have made Wellington their home, beginning their journey together with Comedy in the Pit last year, so don't miss their slot in the Comedy Festival!
(Not) The All India Radio Show opens at 9.30pm on Tuesday, presenting a comic ‘live news show’. Complete with sensationalist headlines, the culturally sensitive human interest stories, the election campaign advertisements…it's all reinterpreted here for your subversive comic delight.
Opening at 6.30pm on Wednesday night, see Tim and Andy: An Adventure. Out of work actor Tim spends most of his time watching daytime soaps while Andy slaves away at Subway. Find out if the the fragile ecosystem of their mutual tolerance will survive when Andy is cast in the new Subway TV commercial....Check out the trailer here for a taste of what's to come.
In other news, BATS is seeking a new Front of House Manager and Publicist! If you have a passion for theatre and people and you're keen to become the new face and voice of BATS Theatre, drop in and pick up a job description now! Applications close Wednesday 14 May at 5pm.
