Just wanna do something special for the ladies
From the silent shake to the bellyaching guffaws, it's been a great first week of laughter. And there's MORE to come! So get your stomach workout with our awesome selection of comedy shows this week at BATS.
Opening on Tuesday night, Cohen Holloway's Hypnotastic Tour 2008 promises to astound and amaze with a stage hypnotism show unlike any other.
The Lady Bunch are also opening on Tuesday night, exploring their likeness to the Brady Bunch and try to figure out what DNA-quirk made them comedy family.
Rising star of UK comedy, Josie Long takes the mic from Wednesday night with her show Trying is Good. "...entirely original and big hearted..." (Sian Robertson, Theatreview), she inspires warmth and delight in her audience through her love of the small things in life, her delight in the silly, and her enthusiasm for the quirky.
And from Thursday, stay up late with Mixed Nuts to catch everything from music to dance routines, magic to improv, and perhaps even some comedy if there's time from Wellington’s most dynamite comedy duo.
As for us, they do say that laughter is the best medicine, helping us with the grieving process of farewelling James to the wonderful land of 'overseas'!

Three of NZ’s funniest women take to the stage for their first family reunion. This is the ultimate comedy blended-family. Find out if you’re a distant cousin too. Great comedy from great women.
