Child Cancer Benefits From Jesse Ryder’s Run Rate
Mike Pero Mortgages has handed over a cheque for $3,400 to the Child Cancer Foundation based on the number of runs Jesse
Ryder scored in two of the Twenty/20 matches during the English cricket tour to New Zealand.

for the support from Mike Pero Mortgages.
“We were thrilled to receive a cheque from Mike Pero Mortgages. The Child Cancer Foundation receives no government
funding or funding from any other cancer support agency, so we rely on donations like this. We are delighted with the
generosity shown by Mike Pero Mortgages.“
Jesse Ryder had been criticised by Adam Parore because of his weight and it was suggested by cricket commentators that
Mike Pero Mortgages get in behind and support him.
Mike Pero Mortgages took up the challenge and announced that the Child Cancer Foundation would receive all money raised.
“Drawing attention to weight and making it an issue is not encouraging for young people keen to play sports who may be
slightly overweight themselves.
“So we decided that each run Jesse scored in the remaining two Twenty/20 matches against England was worth $100 for the
Child Cancer Foundation,” says Milke Pero.
“Jesse certainly did his bit to help out the Child Cancer Foundation. He managed 12 runs at Christchurch’s AMI Stadium
and at Eden Park he showed his class by hitting a very valuable 22 runs off just 21 balls.”
Jesse scored a total of 34 runs in the Twenty/20 matches, raising $3,400 for the Child Cancer Foundation.
