New Zealand’s very own Baby Whisperer brings relief to stressed parents!
Due to over-whelming demand, the New Zealand Baby Whisperer Sharlene Poole has returned to New Zealand, after a decade of travelling the world imparting her unique gift and skills for looking after newborn babies, to launch her new DVD.
With New Zealand currently experiencing a baby boom – over 60,000 babies born in 2006 and just over 58,000 in 2007 it is the highest birth rate since 1972 – along with a shortage of mid-wives and hospital resources being stretched, there’s never been a better time for a self-help DVD for new parents.
Sharlene Poole is changing parent’s lives by taking the uncertainty and anxiety of looking after newborns. A vivacious and elegant woman in her 30s, she has spent the past decade drawing on her training in child care with her hands-on experience working with hundreds of babies to devise effective techniques to ensure newborns first weeks are stress-free and a posῩtive experience.
“Being a new parent can be incredibly bewildering,” says Sharlene. “Yet we all want the best for our children. With the changing face of the modern family and how we live our lives, people no longer have their extended family around them as they would traditionally. With the breakdown in communities where do they turn to for suppoῲt over the most basic and fundamental nurturing sΎills? By providi΅g parents with simple easy-to-follow visual techniques on a DVD, no matter their socio-economic background, they can feel empowered and confident as parents. This can only be positive for all involved.
In a recent TV3 News story on Poole, Auckland Hospital’s leading neonatal pediatrician Dr Simon Rowley stressed the importance of routine and structure - such as those expounded by Poole – in the first weeks of a newborn’s life, as being vital to ensure a happy, healthy and contented baby.
Sharlene Poole Baby Whispering 0-3 Months is the first DVD of its kind in New Zealand and is available at selected baby stores nationwide and via www.BabyWhispering.com.
