Roosters Punters Left Fuming Over Video Refereeing Disgrace!
Punters around the country are screaming "blue murder" tonight after the most diabolical, incompetent refereeing display for a long time shut the massively-backed Roosters out of the NRL clash with the Brisbane Broncos!
Centrebet's Neil Evans said the Roosters had been heavily-backed for several hours leading up to the round 2 clash, firming from an opening $1.77 into $1.60 hot favourite, with the Broncos easing from an opening $2.10 right out to $2.35!
Evans reported a record number of individual bets were plunged on the Roosters! "Hundreds of thousands of dollars were invested on the Roosters, with several bets nearing $20,000.00, and one from a high-profile client of $50,000.00 on the home team to win," Evans said.
"What a living disgrace, Stephen Clarke's decision not to award a clear-cut Roosters try in the first half was simply laughable, one of the worst in rugby league history. Every decision went the Broncos way at a time when the Roosters had clawed to the front and were on the verge of putting the visitors away.
"They then go upstairs at 14-all and award a very dubious try to the Broncos. Jared Maxwell's central referring performance was appalling, but Stephen Clarke - who had the cushy job of drinking tea and eating donuts upstairs for 90 per cent of the game, should never be allowed near a rugby league field again!
"Braith Anasta's face could be permanently disfigured by the shoulder charge from Karmichael Hunt, yet when Anasta bravely comes back on and makes a completely legitimate front-on tackle, he's penalised!
"I feel sorry for all those punters who did their money cold, not to mention the Sydney Roosters Rugby League Club, and especially Anasta! It's now time to go completely technical because the moron-level of on-field officialdom is killing this game as the great spectacle it should be!"
Evans said he had never been more sincerely upset by a refereeing performance! "There's no emotion attached here with the Roosters for me! I'm not even within a bull's roar of being a Roosters supporter. Remember, I represent one of the biggest bookmakers in the southern hemisphere and we would have finished way in front with this result, as well as the Bulldogs who were a leaky outsider, after a surge of big money was also placed late on South Sydney. I feel like giving it back!"

AFL: ST KILDA HEAVILY BACKED TO SMASH SWANS!
Meanwhile, in the AFL punters, on a roll after pulling off a major plunge on Richmond over Carlton on the opening night, have climbed into St Kilda ahead of their season opener against Sydney!
Evans said the Saints had been massively backed to deliver Paul Roos a nightmare start to the 2008 AFL season, with money continuing to be staked on the Saints over the last 36 hours! Centrebet has shortened St Kilda from $1.45 into $1.38, while the Swans have eased from $2.75 out to a long $3.10.
"It's a red-white-and black ambush," Evans said. "The Swans have got injury and positional queries, and St Kilda hasn't been this well-prepared in several seasons. Punters don't want a bar of Sydney - every big bet from $1,000.00 out to $30,000.00 has been on the Saints, and even plenty to suggest they will cover the 18.5 point Line at $1.91!"
