Massive $19 Million in Prizes Up For Grabs Next Week
For the second week in a row, Lotto, Powerball and Strike have all jackpotted which means a huge $17 million in their top prizes is up for grabs next Saturday night, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.
"Next weekend, Lotto will be worth an estimated $3 million, Powerball will be worth an estimated $14 million and Strike an estimated $600,000," he said.
"In addition, we will be drawing the lucky winners of our Easter Nest Egg triple dip promotion, with more than $2 million in extra prizes. That means a total prize pool of more than $19 million."
"That kind of prize pool would transform a lucky winner's life! What would you do?" he said.
If it is won next week, the Powerball prize will be one of the largest-ever since the game began.
Picton man, John Marchant, was tonight's big winner after he spun a $100,000 on Lotto's Winning Wheel.
"All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Newfield Four Square in Invercargill. The serial number is 929-45889092-20XX.
"Anyone who bought a ticket this retailer should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it as soon as possible at any NZ Lotteries outlet," Mr McLeay says.
