Keeping it Clean at the Comedy Festival
The Clean Comedy Show has become a regular feature on the NZ Comedy scene and now it returns to the NZ International Comedy Festival for a week long run.
Billed as the festival premier family friendly, all ages event, the 75 minute Clean Comedy Show is truly unique with its ability to provide the comedy without the cringe.
“There are a number of reasons why we have decided to put this show on,” Dave Wiggins, the event’s producer and MC, says. “The whole idea of clean comedy is about having good time. We don’t like to alienate anyone, instead it’s great to see all types of people come together and have a laugh. To me it’s about entertaining, not offending.”
This year’s show features an eclectic mix of stand up and musical comedy. The show will be MC by award winning and popular comedian Dave Wiggins who has been busy already having done three festivals this year. Rounding out the line up is Japanese comedian and 2005 RAW Winner, Hiroshi, Wellington based comedian and former Billy T nominee Jerome Chandrahasen and fresh from the NZ Fringe with rave reviews, musical comedy duo Dash Ambrose.
If you are looking for an entertaining, family friendly, all ages event at this year’s Comedy Festival don’t miss the Clean Comedy Show!
