This is the second edition of Coastlines and highlights 13 exciting coastal holiday experiences in Australia. From close
encounters with mysterious marine mammals in Western Australia’s Shark Bay region to cruising amidst North West
Australia’s ancient landscapes and reptiles; from discovering a hidden wonder in Victoria’s Croajingolong National Park
to South Australia’s Aquaculture Trail for food lovers; the magazine features first hand experiences of popular travel
writers and offers a coastal holiday for everyone’s taste and budget.
Tourism Australia’s Regional Manager, New Zealand, Vito Anzelmi, is confident that the stories included in the
supplement will whet New Zealanders’ appetites for compelling coastal experiences in Australia. “Australia’s distinct
coastal experience is very popular with Kiwi travellers, attracting nearly 50 per cent of the Kiwis visiting Australia
in 2007,” he said.
Anzelmi adds that the beauty of the Australian coastal experience is the accessibility of other high quality experiences
such as food, wine, indigenous and nature that could accompany it, providing a fantastic opportunity to discover the
destination as well as spending time with friends and family.
The magazine articles also appear on www.myaustralia.co.nz, a website where readers can enjoy unique travel experiences
in Australia, including Outback, Coastal Lifestyle, Aboriginal, Food and Wine, Major Cities, Nature and Journeys as well
as latest news from G’Day NZ Australia Week 2008 (www.australiaweek.co.nz) and other exciting consumer competitions.
With nearly 50,000 kms of coastlines and over 12,000 islands across a diverse geographical and cultural setting, you can
be assured of an unforgettable coastal experience in Australia. So where the bloody hell are you?
