The 2008 NZ International Comedy Festival
GALA EVENT SELLS OUT!
The NZ International Comedy Festival is delighted to announce that the hilariously glamorous Cadbury Crunchie Comedy Gala has already sold out!
Huge audience demand in previous years has caused this sensational opening event to move to the mighty Civic Theatre. Despite there being a larger quantity of tickets on sale in 2008 the Crunchie Comedy Gala has sold out in record time.
Boasting a fine selection of the acts involved in this year’s Festival, including Arj Barker (USA), Ewen Gimour (NZ), Jimeoin (Australia) and many more, the Gala provides an opportunity for audiences to sample the fine delights they can prepare themselves for in the weeks ahead.
Hosted by the uproariously funny Jeff Green (UK), those fortunate to have garnered tickets can expect another high class spectacle of laughter.
For those who’ve missed out on the Gala, the Comedy Festival has announced that Jeff Green will be playing two dates in the Festival, with his new show “Life-Ache” taking place on the 19th and 20th of April at SKYCITY Theatre. Tickets go on sale 11 March.
Highlights of this year’s Crunchie Comedy Gala will be featured on TV2 in the first week of the Festival.
Full programme launched on Tues 11 March at www.comedyfestival.co.nz.
