Valentine's Night at Wellington Zoo - Adults only
Wellington Zoo will be open for over 17 year olds from 5pm - 8.30pm on Valentine's Night - Thursday, 14 February, 2008.
"It's a wonderful time to be here, very relaxing, the animals are more active in the cool of the evening and it's a
romantic place to be," said Marina Greco, Wellington Zoo's Marketing and Events Co-ordinator.
"Our zoo keepers will be on hand to tell people all about the quirky nature of animal courtship, with special talks
scheduled throughout the evening. We'll also have Rosa, a four piece acoustic band, playing mellow 80s covers in the
Zoo's new Wild Theatre."
"Visitors are welcome to bring a picnic while enjoying a romantic stroll around Wellington Zoo, and the Zoo kiosk will
be open selling beer and wine, as well as antipasto platters for a special Valentine's Night treat," said Marina
