The big weekend is fast approaching, and with all stages now confirmed you can start planning your perfect WOMAD experience!
With a line-up that includes Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, the soulful Mavis Staples, Beirut, bare-foot diva Cesaria Evora and NZ's own Kora, Phoenix Foundation and SJD, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

As well as music, dance and performance, WOMAD also features captivating artist workshops for adults and children, a global village offering retail, food and charity stalls. Plus kids can enjoy Kidzone and the Under Five Zone. If all of that weren't enough, some other fantastic activities include:
ARTISTS IN CONVERSATION
The Artist in
conversation area on the Pinetum Stage offers a unique
opportunity to learn more about some of the artists at WOMAD
as they share their history and musical journeys.Located on
the intimate Pinetum Stage with its tranquil surroundings,
the artists will chat informally with their host about their
lives, their music, and the inevitable effects that each has
had on the other.
Artists on the Artist in Conversation stage include Master Kong Nay, Joji Hirota, Terem Quartet, Susana Baca, Donal Lunny from Green Fire Islands, Sharon Jones, David D’Or and Toumani Diabate.
FILMS AT
WOMAD
For the first time this year, WOMAD presents a
selection of five documentary films, adding another
dimension to the festival experience.
TASTE THE WORLD
Being able to experience cultures from around the globe
is what WOMAD is all about. Now our artists are cooking for
their audience at Taste the World.
Much like the diverse
range of music, arts and dance, this weekend food is being
used as a universal language that everybody can enjoy.
Musicians and artists taking part in the event include Taraf
de Haidouks from Romania, Terem Quartet from Russia, Susana
Baca from Peru, Nickodemus from USA, Clube do Balanco from
Brazil, The Gyuto Monks from Tibet & Australia and Maori
Cuisine.
