Infinite Flying Kick support Melbourne band Bang!Bang!Aids! at the PR Bar, Ponsonby on Tuesday Jan 22 ( that's next
week). The small venue should be the ideal catalyst to ensure some lovely early week chaos.

Infinite Flying Kick will be road testing songs from their upcoming full length, as well as pulling out the old
favourites and giving you something a little crazy to remember them by until next time. There'll be no musical or

Bang!Bang!Aids! need to be seen to be believed, this is Art Rock at its finest and most shambolic. This is their second
time in New Zealand, having played Camp A Low Hum plus one or two other shows here last year. Live photo attached. I

Hey there! From the tunes I've listened to, I'm sure we can expect a good show from you guys! Tell us what we can
expect?*
Hey! How you doing? You can expect just 2 or 3 pasty ratty kids playing their music and having a fun time. I mean, you
can sing and talk about things that you really care about and still have a sense of humour and not take yourself too
seriously. I think from the show you can just see we are all really great friends, playing some songs that we wrote in a
mess shed and enjoying ourselves. We never force the crowd to do anything. However we always provide opportunities for
people to come up and dance with us, bang a drum, shake a tambourine. Basically anything goes at our shows, as long as
everyone is being respectful.
Tell us a bit about your "Tales" Record, and the release party that accompanied it?
'Tales' is our debut CD. It was recorded in a studio with a dear friend back home, in Bendigo. The instruments were done
live which I think brought a lot of energy to it. We didn't do too many first take wonders but we got there, we weren't
studio perfectionists or anything, mainly we just kept messing up. Anyway, we got it all done, like literally the last
track and then we hear this beep come through the headphones and our friend looked at us and said 'I think the computer
just ate the tracks.' That was alright, we didn't care too much. We just did it all again.
This time much quicker, had a bit more fun as we were a little more relaxed and I am so much happier that it happened
that well. I think the energy in the room really came through. It was really fun recording it, just 4 guys, all friends,
chatting and having a good time and in between all the fun we recorded some songs.
The release party was really fun. Kind of restored my faith in our little country town. Basically there is a 40ish woman
here who thinks she runs the music scene, she runs some club for musicians and offers them some shows and promises them
a lot, but don't forget to pay your joining fee. But basically she just exploits these young kids who don't know any
better, and she sent us an email spamming one of her shows and I replied saying how 'as far as I was concerned she was
everything wrong in music and is the devil'. She got in the ear of the booker of a pub we were meant to be playing at
and told him we were unprofessional and jerks. So he told us we were off the bill. So we thought fuck that. We will just
play on the street outside the pub. We will show people that you don't need a middle aged greedy woman or a sleazy
publican to play your music. You don't have to pay to play. All you need is yourself. So we sent around emails and word
spread and at Midnight we danced and played on the streets, two acoustic guitars taped to us. There was a huge circle
around us of familiar Bendigo faces and some new ones too. Soon every joined in, chanting, yelling, singing, dancing,
hitting bins, climbing trees. It was awesome. Such a good vibe. Everyone letting loose.
